About

Shannon is originally from Grand Island, NY and relocated to Nashville, TN in fall of 2022. Shannon received a combined Bachelor and Master of Science for Human Occupation and Occupational Therapy as well as a minor in Psychology from D’Youville University in May 2022.

Shannon enjoys working with all ages but primarily works in pediatrics between birth and 10 years of age. She has previously worked in several settings including a medically based school on a Level I trauma hospital campus, geriatric day program, and an ABA clinic. Shannon has specific experience with children with autism spectrum disorder and behaviors, as well as clinic practice experience with handwriting and sensory regulation. Shannon currently works in a variety of settings to continue to grow as a newer graduate including an assisted living home, Tennessee School for the Deaf and in Early Intervention as well as School-Based.

Shannon values collaboration across disciplines to maximize gains for her clients and families. Shannon loves learning about other professions and is familiar with Speech Therapy as her sister is a Speech Therapist! Her favorite part about being an OT is creating relationships with her patients and helping them grow using a multi-sensory approach to improve self-regulation and independence in occupations.

Outside of work, Shannon enjoys spending time with her husband, Joe, and their Australian Shepherd-Beagle mix, Piper. Shannon is also learning ASL as a personal interest and to assist her to connect with her clients.
